Where to find your 10-digit customer ID

The Google Ads Customer ID, a 10-digit identifier, is uniquely linked to each Google Ads account.

You can easily spot the Customer ID within the Google Ads account interface. It serves as a crucial reference point when communicating with Google Ads support, accessing personalised account details, and is pivotal for Google Ads manager accounts when seeking user access.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to find your unique Google Ads Customer ID & how to give someone access to your account.

Step 1: Locating Your Customer ID

Head to Google Ads by visiting https://ads.google.com and log in to your account. Once you’re in, look for your account ID—it’s a 10-digit code formatted like “XXX-XXX-XXXX.”

You can usually find it in the top left or right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Accepting an access request

For an agency (‘like us’) to be able to review your account you’ll need to accept an access request. There are two ways of doing this:

  1. Through an email
  2. In the Google Ads interface

In most cases it’s easier to do it through email.

Accepting through email

After you’ve shared your ID, wait until you receive an email. Then click Accept request.

Accepting through Google Ads (old interface)

After logging into your Google Ads account go to the Tools & settings > Access & security.

Then select the Managers tab & look for the Link Requests. In this box click the button that says Accept.

Then select the Managers tab & look for the Link Requests. In this box click the button that says Accept.
